1996 Middle Temple
I specialise in:

Public Law Children Act, on behalf of Parents, Children and Local Authorities ‐ Particular interest in cases involving contested or competing medical evidence.

Private Law Children Act ‐ Particular interest in cases involving relocation of children both within and outside the jurisdiction of England and Wales.

Matrimonial Finance, and Property Disputes arising from the conclusion of Civil Partnerships.

Financial Disputes involving Unmarried Couples. Particular interest in the rapidly developing area of Trusts of Land / Children Act Schedule 1 applications.

I hope to bring a realistic, frank and collaborative starting point to any work I undertake. For me, litigation should be the last resort. It is, after all, stressful and expensive.

However, in some situations litigation is inevitable. If that is the case, then I am a well ‐ prepared and determined advocate.

Notable Cases

On behalf of the Guardian, recently instructed in 3 week High Court Public Law litigation exploring the controversial area of antenatal bone disorders as an explanation to serious injuries sustained by a new born. Responsible for marshalling 8 separate medical experts instructed on behalf of the Guardian, organising further medical evidence mid ‐ hearing, and leading argument on complex procedural disclosure points arising from an evidential cross ‐ over between family and criminal proceedings.

On behalf of a Father, recently instructed in High Court international relocation litigation, considering recent developments in this area of the law. Successfully resisted an application by Mother to transfer the child in question to India.

On behalf of Wife, recently instructed within County Court ancillary relief litigation where Husband contended he was penniless. Over the course of a four day hearing, successfully argued that Husband was in fact the beneficiary of several off ‐ shore trusts and that he set up multiple sham trusts to disguise his true asset base.
