Luke became a tenant following pupillage under the supervision of Jacqueline Wall in September 2019. Luke’s particular focus is on public law Children work.
He has been involved in work within the Family Court and High Court and dealt with matters relating to the Hague Convention.
Luke has a keen interest in all areas of family law, and during pupillage he gained further experience in matrimonial finance and private law children matters.
In public law cases, Luke acts, and accepts instruction, on behalf of Local Authorities, parents, and Children’s guardians.
Dealing in Children Act and Family Law Act applications for parents, Luke has appeared in cases concerning domestic abuse and parental alienation.
Civil Law
Prior to pupillage Luke acted as a county court advocate, appearing in courts across the Northern Circuit and the Greater London region. He appeared for both claimants and defendants in small claims trials and other interlocutory hearings and will accept instruction on matters falling under the Civil Procedure Rules.
Additional Information
Outside of Chambers, Luke continues to play midweek five-aside football and the occasional game of rugby.
